How Janta handles your data

What Janta keeps

Your chats with Janta and its specialists, the drafts it made and what happened to each, your routines and what they did, the memories and skills you taught it, your targets, and the files you attached or Janta made for you. If you let Janta answer your customers, it also keeps their WhatsApp messages and what you taught it to tell them.

It does not keep a copy of your accounting, CRM, calendar or mail. Janta reads those apps when you ask or a routine runs, and only what shows up in a conversation, a draft or a document is kept. Everything stays tied to one business: no other business can see it.

What it never does

Janta does not read your Gmail inbox or browse your Google Drive. It sees only the files it creates there or that you choose to share with it. It does not sell your data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. It does not send a message or change an app until you have allowed that kind of action; each kind is Off, Ask first or Auto, and you choose.

Who else handles it

To answer you, Janta sends your question, the recent chat and what its tools read to OpenAI’s API. Nango holds the sign-in tokens for the apps you connect; keys you paste in are stored encrypted on Janta’s own server. Emails go out through our email provider, and WhatsApp messages through the number you linked. These services get only what they need for the job.

Who can see it

Your team sees what its role allows: finance sees finance, and so on. The owner sees who changed what in Settings, Data and privacy. The few people who run Janta can open a business only to fix a problem, and each time they do it is recorded.

Take it with you, or remove it

The owner or an admin can download everything Janta holds for the business as one ZIP file from Settings, Data and privacy: every record and every file. The owner can delete the business there too. Deleting removes its chats, drafts, routines, customer messages, files and app connections, and unlinks its WhatsApp number. Copies in our daily backups expire after 14 days.
